  • SAFEGUARDING POLICY | heydongolf

SAFEGUARDING POLICY Safeguarding - The act of ensuring the protection and wellbeing of young or vulnerable people. This responsibility falls on each and every one of us. Safeguarding Policy The policy aims to avoid abuse of any kind against young or vulnerable people. Abuse can arise in a number of different ways - neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse or verbal abuse. The onus is on each and every one of us to identify such abuse and act on it. To support this, HEYDON GRANGE GOLF CLUB has adopted 2 safeguarding policies set out below. These are in keeping with England Golf's national campaign for all affiliated clubs to obtain accreditation in the SafeGolf scheme. SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf. HEYDON GRANGE GOLF CLUB is actively seeking to gain accreditation under this scheme. Child Safeguarding Policy Adult Safeguarding Policy Club Welfare Officer Contact Details

Challenging courses using full greens all year round Heydon Grange has full length 18 hole courses (the Essex & Cambs ) . The Essex has several lakes, including two on the par 3 fourth signature hole, making this a challenging front nine. The Cambs has a drivable par-4 but overall is the longest of the courses; the final hole is an intimidating long par 3 with water left, right and behind the green. With full greens open all year round, Heydon is a very popular venue for visitors during the autumn and winter
